Terms of Service.
The rules of the road for using our website and booking our services.
Effective date: 2026-04-30
1. Acceptance of terms
By using the Mr. Plunger Plumbing & Drainage Ltd.website (the “Site”), booking our services, or contacting us through any channel, you agree to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you don't agree, please don't use the Site or our services.
2. Our services
We provide residential and commercial plumbing and drainage services in BC,Canada, including drain cleaning, water heater repair and installation, sewer line repair, leak detection, gas fitting, and 24/7 emergency plumbing. Service availability depends on your location, our crew capacity, and the nature of the work.
3. Quotes and pricing
- Drain cleaning is billed at a transparent hourly rate quoted before the work begins.
- Big jobs (sewer line replacement, water service replacement, tankless install, repipe) include a free on-site estimate with no call-out fee.
- All other work is quoted on site after diagnosis. We do not provide flat-rate book pricing — every quote is specific to the work in front of us.
- Phone estimates of any kind are non-binding.
- You approve the price (hourly rate for drain cleaning, written estimate for big jobs, or per-job quote on everything else) in writing or verbally before any work starts.
- If we discover additional issues during the work, we'll stop and provide a revised quote for your approval before continuing.
- After-hours emergency calls (outside 8am–6pm local time) carry a higher rate, disclosed before dispatch.
- Permit fees, materials price changes, and unforeseen complications may require a revised quote.
4. Payment
- Payment is due on completion unless prior arrangements were made in writing.
- We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, debit, and Interac e-transfer.
- Late payment is subject to interest at 2% per month (24% per annum) on the outstanding balance.
- Disputed invoices must be raised within 14 days of the invoice date.
5. Workmanship warranty
We provide a workmanship warrantyon every job. The exact term is stated on the invoice/work-order at the time of service and is matched to the scope of the work — a fixture swap and a sewer line replacement aren't comparable. If something we touched fails within the stated warranty window due to our work, we'll come back and fix it free.
The workmanship warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or normal wear-and-tear
- Issues unrelated to the work we performed
- Manufacturer defects in parts (those are covered by the manufacturer warranty)
- Acts of God, freezing, flooding, or other external events
6. Manufacturer warranties
Parts and equipment we install carry whatever warranty the manufacturer provides. We will hand off the warranty card and serial numbers on completion. We are not responsible for warranty claims against the manufacturer; we will, however, help you process a claim if needed.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel a scheduled appointment up to 2 hours before the dispatch window without penalty. Cancellations within 2 hours, or no-shows, may incur a trip-charge equivalent to one hour of service.
8. Property access and safety
You confirm you have the right to authorize work at the service address. Please ensure a safe path to the work area, restrain pets, and clear breakable items. We are not responsible for damage to items left in the work area despite reasonable care.
9. Liability
We carry liability and WCB insurance on every job. Our maximum liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where prohibited by law.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including business interruption, lost profits, or property damage caused by pre-existing conditions (e.g. roots already in a sewer line, hidden plumbing defects, or aged piping) unless we caused them.
10. Website use
